Scott Youngbear
Scott L. Youngbear, 67, of Tama, passed away, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. A Traditional Wake will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Bear Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama. A Traditional Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama.
Survivors include his son, Michael Adam (Elizabeth) Youngbear; daughter, Muriel (Jeremiah) Youngbear; four grandchildren; brothers: Owen (Sandy) Kapayou, Cameron Kapayou, Leland Morgan and Dale Blackcloud; sisters: Gina Kapayou, Roni Kapayou and Dixie Kapayou; adopted mom, Jackie Lasley-Ferneau, adopted dad, Nathan Bear and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
