He is survived by his significant other of 31 years, Jeanne Ewalt; two children: Shellee Parsons-Jordebrek (Brent) and Mikl (Mike) Parsons (Valinda) and their mother, Eleanor Lott; three step-children: Mark Tudeen (Melissa), Tracy Van Wyk (Evan) and Ann Kurth (David); his sister, Sandy; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30 at 10:00 A.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, in Marshalltown, IA. Pastor Bobby Shomo will be officiating.
