Born Lynne Marie Petit on May 3, 1947 in Oto, Iowa, she was the daughter of John Joseph Petit Sr. and Pauline “Penny” Teresa Ortner. After graduating from St. Mary’s High School, she obtained her nursing degree from Marshalltown Community College. She dedicated her life to working as a paramedic and ambulance nurse. Lynne was married to Ed Blink and was blessed with three children before he passed away. Later she was married to William “Bill” Hildreth. Lynne was a member of St. Francis of Assisi – St. Mary Catholic Church in Marshalltown.

Lynne is survived by her children, Jodi Fricke (Blink) of Marshalltown, IA and Jill Blink of Colo, IA; her grandchildren Jesse and Jonathan; stepfather Daniel Flanagan; siblings, Patrick Petit of IA, Debra Marshall of AZ, Richard Petit of IA and William Petit of CA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her son, Michael Blink; her parents: John Petit and Penny Flanagan; two brothers: Jamie Paul Petit, as well as John Joseph Petit Jr. in infancy; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
