Left to cherish her memory are her children: Travis (Chris) Propst, of Grinnell, and Matt Propst, of TX; her four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Sonja Pruiser, Vicki (Dick) Koehler and Terri Best; foster siblings that became family; Virginia Richardson, BJ Smith, Ron Smith, Mike Smith and Everett Siddell; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Cheryl’s wishes, cremation rites will take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Grace Community Church in Toledo. Visitation will be held for one hour prior. Cheryl and Dean will be laid to rest together at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Memorial donations may be directed to the family for later designation.
