Jackie was born on August 27, 1948, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Lloyd Kroeger and Pauline Bane. She was united in marriage to Lynn Warden; the couple would later divorce. Jackie worked at KIOWA Manufacturing, then as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at Marshalltown Hospital and then at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Jackie retired around 2000 and in 2014 moved to Waverly.

Jackie’s greatest enjoyment in life was time with family and friends. She also liked her hand-held poker game, puzzles, camping, fishing, garage sales and thrift stores. In her younger years riding horses, bowling league, golfing and racing motorcycles.

Jackie’s memory is honored by: two children, Shelly (Clint) Flaig, of Waverly, and Randy (Wendy) Warden, of Des Moines, Iowa; four grandchildren: Finn Freeman, Lance Warden, Bradyn (Jessica) Flaig and Carena Flaig; two great-grandchildren, Royal and Everett Flaig; and a sister Sue Shapley, of Nevada, Iowa. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Pauline Bane; father and stepmother, Lloyd (Geri) Kroeger; and two brothers, Lloyd Jr. and Don Shapley.

A celebration of her life will be held at Waverly Homes on July 19, from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. at Waverly Homes Community Room/Office, 320 15th Street NW, Waverly, Iowa.
