Karen Bear
Karen Bear, 83, of Saratoga, AR passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025 in a local hospital. She was born June 11, 1942 in Haverhill, IA to the late Edward and Helen (Neuroth) Kopel. Mrs. Bear was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Ashdown. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerry Kopel.
Survivors include her loving husband of over 60 years, Gene Bear of Saratoga, AR, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Todd and Sonia Bear of El Paso, TX and Troy Bear of Texarkana, AR, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 12:00 – 2:00 at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown. Mass will begin at 2:00 with Father William Burmestern officiating. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Haverhill, IA.
