Funeral Services for Vernon West, 105, were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Central Christian Church in Marshalltown, IA. Rev. Mike Carlson officiated the service with special music provided by organist Colette Benge. Casket Bearers were Nicholas West, Brent Swanson, Brian Swanson, Britt Mikels, Ted Mikels, and Joel Rohne. Honorary Casket Bearers were Diana Lee-West, Jackie Swanson, Sarah Swanson, Mike West, Bev Collins, and Brad Switzer. Interment followed the service at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown where military honors were held.
