Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. This will be followed by a vigil service starting at 7:00 P.M., also at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi: St Henry’s Catholic Church. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. He is survived by his mother Maria Ofelia Vasquez Torres; his wife Luz Maria del Carmen Raya Alvarado; his four children: Alberto, Jacquelyn, Josue and Giovanni Hernandez Raya; his six siblings: Alejandro, Maria Lorena, Ana Lilia, Jorge Adrian, Jesus, and Erika Hernandez Vasquez; and various cousins, nieces and nephews.
