Jayda Burton
Jayda Berniece Burton, 12, entered into the joy of her Savior, Jesus Christ, and was welcomed into Heaven with open arms on September 20, 2025. She now walks the streets of gold with Him. Though her time on earth was too brief, her light touched countless lives and will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Jayda is survived by her parents, Jasen and Shanya Burton; siblings, Julia (Britt) Arcelo-Swanson, Joven and Josephine Arcelo, Jacqueline, Jessalyn and Jasen “Boman” Burton; paternal grandparents, Angela and Brian Anderson and Dennis and Rhonda Burton; great-grandmother, Barbara Jester; maternal grandmother, Vicky Lindsey; several aunts; birth mother, Nancy Viles; sisters, Stormy “Robin” and Cheyenne Viles; grandmother, Kim Kent, great-grandfather, Larry Viles; as well as many cousins and friends.
Family will greet friends Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Creekside Church, 2743 82nd Place in Urbandale, Iowa. Memorial service will take place the following day Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Jayda will be laid to rest following at Rose Hill Cemetery, 602 East Iowa Avenue in Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorial Contributions can be made to the family in loving memory of Jayda.
