Malin Choneska
Malin Kenneth Choneska, 47, of Lincoln, NE and formerly of Tama, passed away, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln, NE. A Traditional Wake was held Tuesday evening, September 16, 2025, at the Eagle Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. Traditional Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at McIntosh Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.
Survivors include his father, Merlin Choneska, Sr., of Mescalero, NM; mother, Regina Papakee, of Tama; siblings: Merlin (Cheyenne) Choneska Jr. and family; Marlena (Kauila) Clark and family; Marion Choneska and Lanie Negrete and family; uncles and aunts and many nieces and nephews.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
