In lieu of funeral, a celebration of Judy's life will be held at New Hope Christian Church at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Everyone is invited, dress casual or wear the black and yellow of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Judy's favorite team.

She was born August 21, 1941, in Marshalltown. She attended Marshalltown schools and worked at Lennox Industries and the Iowa Veterans Home. After retirement, she volunteered at New Hope Christian Church and loved and was loved by her Church family.

Left behind are her son, Greg (Phyllis) Smoldt, of Albion, and her daughter, Debbie (Scott) Holm, of Boone. Grandchildren: Kristen Holm, of Spirit Lake, Rachel (Mmike) Peterson, of New Providence, Emmit (Haley) Smoldt, of Atlantic. Her five great grandchildren were of great joy to her and she had constant stories and pictures of them. Case, Winnifred, Odette, Theodore, Hudson and one on the way.

She leaves behind her sister, Janet Hass, of Marshalltown; nephews, Nick (Cindy) Hass, of Ankeny, and Jason (Jennifer) Hass, of Marshalltown, also great nephews and nieces along with many friends she considered family.
