Sheryl was born on April 6, 1945, to Ivan and Frances Readout and was raised in Marshalltown. She began her career at Fisher Controls and then joined RACOM in 1981. She was a key member of the team for more than 42 years — longer than any other RACOM employee. Her famous ham balls and cheesy potatoes were known to be client favorites — and may have helped close some deals. Sheryl also loved volunteering at Binford House and supported the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown. She was a long-time resident of North 9th Street and enjoyed hosting neighbors and friends.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Frances Readout, and brother, Steven Readout. She is survived by brothers John (Cindi) Readout, of Marshalltown, and Larry Readout, of West Des Moines, along with numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.

An open house and celebration of life luncheon will be held on Saturday, November 8 from noon to 2 PM at the Binford House, 110 N. 2nd Ave., Marshalltown.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown in Sheryl’s memory.
