Connie Scurr
Connie Gail Scurr, 60, of Grinnell, Iowa, formerly of Marshalltown, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, December 22, 2025, surrounded by family and friends at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown, Iowa. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Joyce Paul; her sons, Blake (Erinn) Scurr and their three children and Clayton (Madi) Scurr and their son; her sisters: Dawn Dillman, Jeri (Tom) Graham and Cindy Paul; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Grinnell United Methodist Church. A luncheon will follow in the Friendship Center of the church. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Laurel, Iowa, following the luncheon. Family will greet friends during a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Smith Funeral Home – Grinnell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Connie Scurr Memorial Fund to benefit organizations near and dear to Connie. Memorials may be mailed in care of Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112.
