A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, starting at 10:30 A.M. at the First Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation one-hour prior to the service, also at the church. Karla will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Karla and her family. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Karla is survived by her daughters: Kris (Phil)Does, of Wayne, Nebraska, and Linda (Ron)Pexa, of Guernsey, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and her brother Alan Aird, of Charles City, Iowa.
