A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 29, 2025 starting at 10:30 A.M. at the First Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation one hour prior to the service, also at the church. Karla will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Karla is survived by her daughters: Kris (Phil) Does of Wayne, Nebraska, and Linda (Ron) Pexa, of Guernsey, Iowa; her seven grandchildren: Dan Whitmore, Anna (Travis) Vaughn, Dylan (Aubrey) Does, Ryan (Kim) Does, Abby (Jared) Callison, Beth (Ryan Stotts) Leaton, and David (Meredith) Leaton; 11 great-grandchildren:; one great-great-granddaughter; her brother Alan Aird of Charles City, IA.; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Doris; her husband Gerry; her brother Andy Aird; her mother and father in-law: Eddie and Jeanne Breed.
