Sheila's legacy will be remembered by her family and friends, including her husband, Jerry Bachman; children: LeAnn (Trent) Eggman, of Randall, IA, Doug Mitchell and Aaron (Amanda) Mitchell, both of Ottumwa, and Dan (Brianna) Mitchell, of Omaha, NE; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; her siblings: Lori Peek, Byron (Karen) Way and Brenda (Pat) Doll; and her best friend who was more like a sister and their children and their families.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery in Nevada, Iowa. Memorial donations may be directed to the family for later designation.
