Per David and his family’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A family led memorial service has been scheduled for Saturday February 7th, 2026 starting at 11:00A.M. at Journey Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Family and friends are also invited to attend a visitation one-hour prior also at the church. Memorials in David’s name may be directed to his family for a later designation. David is survived by his husband Gene Beenken- Draper; his two children from a previous marriage: Heidi (Brad) Huyser and Timothy (Abby) Draper, both of Ankeny, IA.; his four grandchildren; his siblings: Stephen (Laura) Draper and Martha (Vernon) Tannahill; his aunt; his previous wives: Cindy Pearce and Faye Draper and numerous nieces and nephews.
