Left to cherish his memory are his children: Denise (Rick) Hanke, of Marshalltown, and Jack (Kay) Walker Jr., of Sheldon, IA; four grandchildren; two Walker great grandchildren and a baby girl Hanke expected soon. He is also survived by close friends and their families.

Per Jack’s wishes, cremation rites will take place. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown, with military honors conducted by combined V.F.W./American Legion of the surrounding area. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Iowa River Hospice or Marshalltown Senior Citizens Center.
