Jack was born February 10, 1944 in Darlington, Missouri. After his parents passing, he moved to Marshalltown and lived with his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Bill Buzzard. He was active in horse riding and drill team where he met the love of his life, Judy (Eurom). They were married on Jack’s 18th birthday in 1962. His first child was born in July 1962. Jack finished his education during the day and graduated from Marshalltown High School Class of 1963. He worked nights at Fisher Controls and raised his family in between. Jack continued working for Fisher Controls for 37 years until retiring in 1999. Jack and Judy went on to have five children. They moved to LeGrand in 1975. Jack was always a simple man but full of life. He loved to work on cars and race his #2 Flying Duece at Marshalltown Speedway. He was an avid hunter including that of morel mushrooms and a fisherman, quite a jokester, loved to play Pepper and was always up for a game of pool. This earned him the nickname, “Shark.” With his love of cars and racing, he became a NASCAR fan, later naming a cat Chase and another one Elliott. Jacked loved his family fiercely and never missed going to one of his children’s sporting events. That love carried over to his grandchildren when his oldest started running cross country. Too many to count baseball games followed and he was fortunate to watch his only great-grandson play T-ball as well. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Judy Weese; his children, Cindy (Bruce) Patterson, Kevin Weese and Mark (Tenya Anderson) Weese; his grandchildren, Nick Huisman, Austin Weese, Katy Weese, Colton Weese, Tristan Patterson and Madison Weese; his great-grandson, Bodie Brackett; his fur baby, Daisy plus numerous special nieces and nephews.
