Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Debbie; children: Michael Shawn (Carrie) Osborn, Scott (Ann Marie) Detrick and April (Tracy) Evans; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Paul (Michelle) Detrick, Sandy (Chuck) Calliguire, Carol Huff, Elaine (Rich) Rund, Sharon (Tim) Winkle, Diana Slifer and Janice McNary; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Per Marv’s wishes, cremation rites will take place. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, with military honors to follow conducted by combined local VFW and American Legion. Memorial donations may be directed to the Marshalltown V.F.W. Post 839.
