Ronald Edwin Hutcheson was born June 22, 1939 in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was one of five children blessed to Raymond “Ray” and Millie “Fern” (Bridges) Hutcheson. Ron grew up near Marshalltown and graduated from High School in State Center.
After graduation, Ron began working as a truck driver and then became a milkman for Borden Dairy where he met the love of his life, Clemma “JoAnn” Sleege and on May 30, 1962, they were united in marriage at the Church of Christ in Marshalltown.
Shortly after, Ron enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country honorably while being stationed in Michigan and Paris, France. After an honorable discharge from service, Ron returned home to Marshalltown where he and JoAnn began a family of their own and raised two children, Lisa and Michael. Ron began work for Meads Dairy until leaving to work at Fisher Controls. Ron was a hard worker and often held two jobs at a time. While working for Fishers, he worked for the Iowa Parcel Service for many years to provide for his family.
In 2001, he retired from Fisher Controls. Ron and JoAnn remained in Marshalltown until 2016, when they moved to Texas to live with Lisa and her husband, Jerry.
Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially when he was young. He also enjoyed bowling competitively with JoAnn in bowling leagues. He served as Treasurer for the Church of Christ in Marshalltown for more than 30 years. He will be remembered always as being a hard worker, a faithful man, devoted husband and father and willing to help anyone who needed it.
Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his children, Lisa (Jerry) Morris of Keller, TX and Michael (Nila) Hutcheson of Arlington, TX along with four grandchildren, Tyler Lansink, Justin Lansink, Derek Hutcheson and Dylan Hutcheson.
