Kathryn “Kathy” Prather (57) passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, under the care of Suncrest Hospice at Traditions Memory Care of Newton. Per Kathy’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time. Memorials in Kathy’s name may be directed to the family for a later designation. Kathy is lovingly remembered by her mother, Karla Prather, of Marshalltown, Iowa; her sisters, Kristi (Jeffrey) Benesh, of Le Grand, Iowa, Kimberly (Brian) Nohava, of League City, Texas, and Bobbi Prather (Chris Tague), of Springfield, Illinois; her uncle and aunt, two cousins as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
