Norma grew up in Iowa and graduated from Traer High School. On April 2, 1955, she married Dale Sturtz, and together they made their home in Marshalltown, where they raised their family until Dale’s passing after 35 years of marriage.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Norma’s life centered around family. She worked in various roles over the years, retiring after 19 years with Walmart in Marshalltown. Known for her strong work ethic and generous heart, she always put others first.

Norma loved spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting gifts, tending to her flowers and tomato plants, and sharing laughter with friends. She will be remembered for her independence, strength, and kindness.

She is survived by her son, Stan (Carma) Sturtz of Newton; daughter, Vicky (Phillip Hill) Musgrove of Reasnor; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, JoAnn Meyer of Vinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and three brothers.
