Per Ruth and her family’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A funeral mass has been scheduled for Monday, April 27, 2026 starting at 10:30 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, April 27th from 8:30 A.M. until 10:15 A.M. also at the church. Memorials in Ruth’s name may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown and the St. Francis of Assisi Parish. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Charles Jacobson; her children: Neil/Holly Jacobson, Michelle/Evan Otto, Traci Wright and Tony/Alicia Jacobson, 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and her siblings: Raechel/Mike Casey, Rose/Bob Hester, Rebecca/Randy Judge, Renee/Al Irey, Rhonda Chrystal, Roger/Ada Drummer.
