William “Gabby” Streets
William “Gabby” Streets, 87, of Gladbrook, IA, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook. Private graveside services will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney, IA at a later date. Anderson Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the arrangements. Gabby was born August 8, 1938, in Sigourney to William and Julia (Grimes) Streets. Gabby grew up in Sigourney, graduating from Sigourney High School. He worked for the Iowa DNR and in construction. Gabby moved to Gladbrook in 1969, working as a concrete finisher for Gethmann Construction. He later worked for Traer Manufacturing, retiring in 2003.
Gabby is survived by his sons; David (Brenda) Streets of Marshalltown and Elvin (Micky) Streets of Evansville, IN, his sister, Connie (Jim) Thompson of Kissimmee, FL, his brother, Mike (Jan) Streets of Haysville, KS, and five grandchildren; Scott, Courtney, Dylan, Chris and Carly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, his son, William Streets the 3rd, and two brothers, Tom and Jerry.
