Curtis Seymour
Curtis Dale Seymour, “Eskamegia”, 70, passed away Monday, June 15, 2026, at home due to a sudden illness. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5-8 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Meskwaki Tribal Center Gym, rural Tama. A Private Family Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama.
Survivors include his mother; Patsy Seymour, of Tama; children: Ryan Seymour, of Marshalltown, Eric Seymour, of Marshalltown, Brooke Seymour (Jesse Adkins), of Marshalltown, Jordan Seymour (Jordan Bradley), of Tiffin, Jade Seymour (Dawson Davenport), of Tama, and Jonah Seymour, of Cedar Rapids; step-daughter, Joslin (Peter) Gessner, of Charleston, SC; twenty-five grandchildren; siblings: Norman (Cheryl) Seymour, of Tama, Dwayne Seymour, of Tama, Charlie Seymour, of Tama, Michelle (Tom) Grimes, of Toledo, and Ira Dean (Megan) Seymour, of Tama; an aunt; several nieces, nephews and adopted family members.
