She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis, in 2015; her sisters, Marge, Janet, and Sandy Dannen and her brothers, Jerry and Don.

Stella is survived by her only son, Justin C. Howe (Kim); her brothers, Bob (Barb), Rick (Anna) and Kenneth “Butch”; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Laurel Pour House, 102 S. Main Street, Laurel, Iowa 50141.

Iowa Cremation in Waukee is assisting the family.
