Funeral services for Betty will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, beginning at 10:30 A.M. at the First Methodist Church in Marshalltown. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Betty will be laid to rest at the Conrad Cemetery. Those in attendance to services are encouraged to come dressed in casual attire. In lieu of flowers, memorials/donations in Betty’s name may be directed to Iowa River Hospice or to the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown. Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her children: Doug Jacobs and Craig Jacobs; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Connie Mangold; numerous nieces and nephews; and Robert Weeces who she treated like, and considered to be, another son.
