Wava is lovingly survived by her children: Dawn (Tim) Minard, of Lone Tree, Iowa; Doug Kurth, of Marshalltown; and Travis (Denise) Kurth, of Bennington, NE; her eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her biological half-siblings: Doug, Judd, June, Dan and John Whitney; her beloved cat and her lifelong friend since third grade.

A casual visitation service will be held on July 27, 2026, at Riverside Cemetery Chapel from 1-3:00 pm., with burial after at Riverside Cemetery.
