Lonnie Gene Hutson, 79, of Tama, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026, at his home under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Memorial Services will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama with Pastor Warren Riley officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the service at the church.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Carol, of Tama; his children: Becky Hutson, of Tama, and Chad (Diana) Hutson, of Huxley; three granddaughters; siblings: Donna Pippert, of Cedar Falls, and Gary Hutson, of Blairstown; brother-in-law, Bruce Mostrom; and several nieces and nephews.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is assisting the family with arrangements.
