Marilyn Black Cloud Dameron, 77, of Hastings, MN and formerly of Tama, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Benedictine Living Community in Hastings, MN. A Traditional Wake was held Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Bear Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama. A Traditional Graveside Service was held Monday, August 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Meskwaki Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement, rural Tama.
Survivors include her children: Amy Black Cloud, of Hastings, MN, and Ryan Black Cloud, of Marshalltown; eleven grandchildren; brothers: Frank Black Cloud, Dale Black Cloud and Larry Black Cloud, all of Tama; adopted siblings: Peggy Wanatee, Priscilla Wanatee, Darlene Lasley, Stella (Ray) Youngbear and Eloise Lasley; and many nieces and nephews.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
