Funeral services for Stephen Irvine, 83, were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church in Marshalltown, IA. Rev. Bryan Kunz officiated the service with a eulogy read by Rev. Tom Bower. Special music was provided by Bagpiper Ron Husted. Interment followed the service at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Steve is survived by his wife, Madelyn, of Marshalltown, his bother Russ (Sandy) Irvine, his grandchildren; Marin Irvine, William Irvine, Harrison Irvine, Stephen (Rhina) McCrink, and Haley Barker, great-grandchildren; Lyla Rettig, Ryan Rettig, and Mitchell Rettig. He was preceded in death by his son, John, his daughter, Kristen, grandson, Mitchell, and brother, Michael Irvine.
