Ian Gael Vazquez, beloved infant son of Yonatan Miguel Vazquez and Bianca Maritza Reyes, passed away on August 29, 2026. He was born on April 2, 2026, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa.
In addition to his devoted parents, Yonatan and Bianca, Ian is survived by his maternal grandparents: Miguel Reyes and Rosa Maria Banda; his paternal grandparents: Lucero and Miguel Vazquez; his godmother and aunt Kennia Reyes; and many other aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 6th from 5-8:00 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home, with a Rosary beginning around 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 8th at St. Francis of Assisi: St. Henry Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. The family kindly asks everyone to wear white attire during the visitation and rosary. In keeping with the mother's wishes, guests are encouraged to wear the white T‑shirts the family is offering on Facebook.
