Jeffery "Jeff" Lee Banes, 66, of Ankeny and formerly of Tama, passed away Monday, September 14, 2026, with his family by his side at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System in Des Moines. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama. Interment will follow at National Cemetery in rural Vining. Visitation will be Friday, September 18, 2026, from 4-7 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Survivors include his children: Jared (Shevaun) Banes, of Marshalltown, and Halie (Marc) Dellamuth, of Newton; his four grandchildren; mother, Donna Banes, of Toledo; his siblings: Todd (Kim) Banes, of Elberon, Annette (Don) Lacina, of Tama, and Pam (Jim) Hala, of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews.
