Linda Lee "Benson" Tyon, 82, of Tama, passed away, Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. A Traditional Wake was held Friday, September 4, 2026, at Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama. A Traditional Graveside Service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at McIntosh Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama.
Survivors include her daughter, Celeste (Rudy) Tyon-Borrego; sons: Cheyenne Tyon, and Skywalker Tyon; 13 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; adopted brothers: Clyde Wanatee, Tony Wasekuk and Rudy Papakee.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
