Chad Pierce, 54, of Gladbrook, IA, passed away from natural causes on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Gladbrook Methodist Church in Gladbrook, IA. A memorial has been established by the family in Chad's memory. Anderson Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.andersonfhs.com.

Chad was born in Des Moines, Iowa, to Randall Pierce and Linda Schneider. He grew up in Gladbrook, IA and graduated from Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School in 1990. During his high school years, Chad enjoyed playing both basketball and football. His love for basketball continued beyond graduation, as he went on to play at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) and later spent a year playing at a college in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Chad was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and the pride he took in a job well done. He spent more than a decade working in the hog industry before transitioning into the feed business. He worked as a feed manager in Reinbeck and Dunkerton and spent much of his career with Heartland Cooperative, where he developed many friendships and connections throughout the years.

On April 20, 1996, Chad was united in marriage to Tammi Boldt. Together, they welcomed two sons, Zach and Tyler Pierce. Although their marriage later ended, their sons remained a lasting and cherished part of the life they shared.

Chad believed in working hard and enjoying life along the way. He had a lifelong passion for sports and was an enthusiastic fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He also enjoyed playing slow-pitch softball, barbecuing, and spending time playing video games. Chad appreciated the simple pleasures in life and especially enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends.

Above all else, Chad was a proud and loving father. His sons meant the world to him, and one of his greatest joys was watching them grow up and compete in sports. He spent countless hours cheering them on from the sidelines and stands, rarely missing a game.

Chad will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of sports, and his ability to enjoy the little things in life. More importantly, he will be remembered for the relationships he built, the memories he created, and the love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Zach (Autumn) Pierce of Ashland, NE, and Tyler (Sophia) Pierce of Bucyrus, KS; his granddaughter, Paisley; his mother, Linda Schneider of Gladbrook, IA; his brother, Tim (Andrea) Pierce of Gladbrook, IA; his stepsiblings, Julie (Trey) Davis of Harvey, IA, Tom (Melinda) Schneider of Council Bluffs, IA, and Connie (David) McFadden of Spring Hill, FL; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Ardy.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Russell Pierce; his stepfather, Bill Schneider; and his brother, Eric Pierce.
