We remember Frances Barbara (Lepley) Daubenmier with joy, respect and love.
She was a steady and loving presence in the lives of her family and friends. She welcomed everyone with her strength, support and kindness. She had a remarkable way of remembering the important moments in the lives of others. Birthdays and anniversaries rarely went unnoticed, most often with "a card in the mail."
She was born near Union, IA, on October 18, 1927, to Peter and Olive (Akers) Lepley.
At the age of seventeen she entered the United States Cadet Nurse Corp and became a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed working in that profession for several years.
She married Louis Daubenmier and started a family in Cedar Rapids IA before they moved to Scottsdale, AZ where she lived for the next fifty-eight years.
She passed away on September 26, 2026 in Scottsdale, AZ.
She is preceded in death by her parents Olive and Peter; her brothers: Warren, Morris and Joe; her sister Lois and her husband Louis Daubenmier.
She is survived by her two daughters Carol and Linda; a grandson Dragan; a great-granddaughter Anouk and many nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her generous heart and consideration of all those around her, as well as the multitudes of ways she made life brighter for us all.
Her presence will be deeply missed.
