John Winfield Holmes, formerly of Gilman and Montour, went home to his Lord and Savior on October 14, 2026.
John is survived by his wife Marjory Holmes, of Dewey, SD, sister Ardis Babcock, of Davenport, IA, children: Jonathan (Helen) Holmes, of Herrick, SD, Andrew Holmes, of Lead, SD, Phillip (Kimberly) Holmes, of Newcastle, WY, Kittie Mahnke, of Redmond, Oregon, twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren and special friends in Butler, TN, and LacDueFlambeau, WI.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Edgemont Baptist Church, Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 11 a.m.
