Sonja May (Shetterly) Discher, 74, of Des Moines and formerly of Northfield, MN and Marshalltown, IA, passed away on March 21, 2024, at Trinity Center in Des Moines, Iowa, surrounded by her family. Services for Sonja will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, beginning at 1:30 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. A visitation for family and friends will be held one-hour prior to services. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Father Alan Dietzenbach officiated the service with special music provided by organist Chad Mussig and vocalist Karen Mussig. Marc V. Ridenour, formerly of Marshalltown, IA, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, in Peoria, AZ, at Paseo Village, after a brief battle with liver cancer.
