Marshalltown, we are ready!
As we stand on the cusp of a new academic year, the air is filled with a unique blend of anticipation and excitement. On behalf of the entire Marshalltown Community School District (MCSD), I want to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to our students, staff, parents, and community partners as we prepare to embark on the 2025-2026 school year.
The start of a new school year is more than just a calendar date; it’s a moment of renewed purpose and possibility. It’s a chance to build on the successes of the past and to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. The past year has been one of tremendous growth and accomplishment for our district, from the passing of a $57 million bond referendum and the continued progress on our “Reimagine Miller” project to the outstanding achievements of our students in academics, student activities, and athletics. These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone in our community, and we are incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.
This new school year brings an invigorating energy, and we’re so excited to welcome the newest members of our dedicated staff! They join a remarkable team of veteran educators who have always been the heart of our mission. Together, this powerful collaboration will continue to pursue our shared goal: to develop Bobcat learners who have the knowledge, skills, and positive mindset to successfully pursue a meaningful future. With a renewed focus on providing personalized learning experiences for every student, we are confident that our combined team of new and veteran staff will create an enriching and empowering environment where our students can thrive.
Building a strong partnership between home and school is crucial for each child’s success. When parents and teachers work together, they create a powerful support system that extends beyond the classroom. Sharing insights about a child’s strengths, challenges, and learning style helps educators tailor instruction to meet their unique needs. This collaboration ensures that the skills and values taught at school are reinforced at home, creating a consistent and stable environment for growth. By actively engaging with teachers and school staff, parents provide their children with the foundation they need to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.
As we embark on this new academic year, our collective strength–from the dedication of our diverse staff to the invaluable partnership with our families and community–will continue to drive our success. Together, we are committed to nurturing every Bobcat learner, as we eagerly anticipate a year filled with continued growth, exciting discoveries, and collaborative achievements for the entire Marshalltown Community School District.
