Arrest Hunger a success

On June 2, the Marshalltown Police Department participated in the “Arrest Hunger” food drive to benefit the Marshalltown Emergency Food Box. During this event, members of the Marshalltown Police Department accepted food and monetary donations to help feed hungry people in the community. The department has received noticed that we raised $225 and had more than 1,300 food items donated.

Anyone wishing to donate to the Marshalltown Emergency Food Box can take donations to the Food Box, 109 S. Third St. on any weekday from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Non-perishable food items are accepted, including canned items, peanut butter, pasta, cereal, etc. Cash donations are also accepted.

We want to thank the community for supporting this program and we look forward to seeing everyone at the next “Arrest Hunger” food drive.
