Respect all life regardless of circumstance

During a recent Catholic online mass, I heard reference to Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed thee in the bowels of thy mother, I knew thee: and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and made thee a prophet unto the nations.”

President Donald Trump and the Make America Great Again movement respect all life regardless of circumstance, advocate for lived-Christianity and honor the Divine will expressed so beautifully in Jeremiah.

On the other hand, Virginia’s Democratic Governor Ralph Northam has indicated support for genocide of post-birth babies deemed ‘defective.’ And New York’s Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo signed legislation instituting identical evil in his state.

Do Iowa’s elected Democrats support partial and even post-birth baby killing? Do Democrat presidential nomination aspirants?

Remember that Attorney General Tom Miller refused to defend our ‘heartbeat bill,’ and the state Supreme Court joined him in endorsing murders of unborn babies.

I once read of a discussion between hate group members. One remarked that, in the future the racists desired, the handicapped would all be put to death. The other conversant was shocked. He had an autistic son whom he loved. For the first time, he understood the horrible implications of his chosen ideology.

Such was also an ambition of supremacy-believing German Nazis of the 1930s and of the American eugenics movement in which Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger was an enthusiastic participant.

Today, Democrats may sport raiment of contemporary tailoring, but the philosophy beneath is very old and very ugly.
