The 13th Street District Board would like to thank JBS and Independent Insurance Services for sponsoring Cruise-In and Eats – Inaugural 13th Street Fundraiser. The event was a tremendous success. Our goal was to get 35 vehicles and to our delight we ended up with 72 cruise cars and trucks. A big thank you goes out to JBS who provided delicious pork patties and a thank you to Pat Hageman of Independent Insurance for cooking up the patties. This event was a fundraiser for the district and we were very pleased to have raised more than $1,200. We also want to thank all our volunteers as well as Dave Muhlena with the Hardin County Cruisers for helping us with the event. And last but not least thank you to the Marshalltown community for your continued support of the district. We hope you will bring a lawn chair down and attend our August movie-in-the-park, The Goonies, which will be shown on Aug. 13 at 8 p.m.
