Vandals struck our little food house at First United Church of Christ, 204 S. Fourth Ave. for the second time.

This time they took it clean out of the ground – pole and all – and smashed it in the parking lot.

It’s a really sad situation because there is a big need for that food in our community. It’s also sad to think somebody is that angry to destroy something so useful – if they did it because they were angry at the church and wanted to punish us.

Well they didn’t hurt the church but they did hurt their neighbors that are hungry.

For the community that has been also putting in food, please take it to the one at N. Ninth Street and Summit.

Don’t know how long it will take us to rebuild our little house.

Also pray for those that vandalized us.
