In the Feb. 7 paper, I saw a letter that I believe we all can agree with. I don’t know Susie Petre, but I sure agree with her that we spend too much money electing officials when it was like our Iowa Senate race. We spent $240 million on that race alone.

Another article that I liked was the one on Sen. Grassley backing bipartisan efforts to pay farmers to fight climate change. Sen. Grassley, President Joe Biden, Agriculture Secretary Vilsack, Sen. Joni Ernst and new chairwoman of the Senate Ag Committee Debbie Stabenow are working together on this committee. I like the tone of this.

There will be a lot that they can agree on that will give them a good start. I’m also sure biofuels will be discussed a lot, too.
