Run Bobcats, run!

The recent Bobcat Cross Country Reunion was memorable for all who attended, as well as who responded via the internet and phone.

Special thanks to my family and to the cross country family. Jarret Heil, Grant Shadden, Tim Warden and Eric Eggers were great in making this happen. Having former runners back from New York, Arizona, London, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska and of course, Iowa and Marshalltown. It was a dream for me.

The event had many special moments, but having runners back from the first year in 1981 and the last year in 2012 was special and emotional. Former Bobcat state champions and all-staters Stephen Dak and Grant Shadden, as well as state runner-up Charlie Kelley were in attendance, as well as many of the heart and soul of the Bobcat Cross Country Runners.

We all want the Bobcats to dominate again, so we encourage all of Marshalltown to support and honk your horns when you drive by Bobcats running on the streets. For all the years nof being your Bobcat coach and years as athletic director, it was my great honor.

Be a Bobcat supporter for all sports. Go Bobcats forever!
