I would like to take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge the efforts of UnityPoint Marshalltown SHIIP volunteers. These volunteers assist and educate community members about Medicare options as they turn 65 or retire.

They have assisted 1,838 clients in 2021. During the recent open enrollment from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7, they assisted 1,408 clients by reviewing their drug plans and Medicare Advantage plans.

Kudos and high fives for Denise Fletcher, Jeff Harris, Elaine Hoffman, Marilee Lawler, Diane Olsen, Larry Schrum, Anne Schulte, Sue Turbiville and Bobbi Brandenburg. We look forward to serving you in 2022.
