UnityPoint Health not willing to be transparent

Over the last three weeks, I’ve reached out five times to UnityPoint regarding the Care Givers statue at the hospital. The decision was made not to move the memorial bricks with the statue. They have responded several times but have not answered any of my questions. Why was this decision made? Why weren’t the families involved contacted prior to the decision for feedback? Why wasn’t the community given an opportunity for feedback or a chance to donate if the decision was made due to the cost of recreating the project at the new site? Who “owns” the caregiver project, UnityPoint or the community? Is there any action the community can take to right this wrong?

Executive Director Deirdre Gruendler understands I’m upset. I don’t need my feelings acknowledged or to be consoled. What I need is for my questions to be answered honestly.
