In response to a letter in the editorial over two months ago regarding high marks for our new hospital, I for one give it a grade A++.

On July 27, I had a complete hip rebuild at UnityPoint Health thanks to Dr. Hamilton and his great orthopedic team. I’ve had great results. I walk with no pain at all on my right side, a big difference!

My care in the hospital was great. I wouldn’t ask for better. The staff was great, a big thank you to them.

It’s nice to have a great hospital a few minutes away from home instead of traveling to Des Moines and Ames. Hopefully I don’t have to. Hopefully the procedures I need to have done, I’m able to have done locally.

My message to folks in Marshalltown and Marshall County is to use this fine facility whenever possible. I personally will use it again for my left hip replacement next year.
