The MHS Golf Team coached by Lucas Johnson emerged as a cohesive whole this season to achieve many desired results.

The leadership and beliefs they held for each other and for their coach contributed to their practice and emergence as a true team. Players often were heard summing up a meet with comments such as “The main thing is that the team played very well to help us win.” They were happy for individual victories and each personal best, but the focus always came back to the “team.”

The support from families and friends also contributed toward the group’s beliefs and effort.

The team demonstrated golf etiquette to each other and to those they competed against. It was a pleasure to see the skills and resilience of the athletes.
